Today, due to population growth and the success of individual connection programs, the extension of water service is limited by the maximum production capacity of the existing hydraulic infrastructures in the city of Niamey.
OBJECTIVES OF THE PROJECT
The objective of this project is to carry out the control, validation of the detailed design and finally the monitoring of the execution of the works of the extension project of the Goudel drinking water treatment plant (Goudel IV – 40,000 m3/d) and the creation of a raw water intake from the Niger River in Niamey.
SERVICES PROVIDED
- Validation of the technical design studies of the drinking water treatment plant;
- Civil engineering and process execution studies;
- Monitoring and surveillance of the civil engineering works of the treatment station and the network;
- Monitoring of factory equipment testing and commissioning operations;
- Assistance with reception operations for works and equipment.

The work carried out according to the rules of the art makes it possible to meet the demand for drinking water of the populations of Niamey and thus contributes to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Objectives.
