PROBLEMS NOTED
During winter periods, there are recurring phenomena of flooding, pipe breaks and wastewater leaks on the sewer networks of Dakar and in certain localities of the country. Also in 2019, the President of the Republic instructed the minister responsible for sanitation « to initiate the technical audit of all sanitation works under the control of ONAS and to undertake the execution of a rehabilitation plan for the infrastructures concerned ».
OBJECTIVES OF THE PROJECT
Evaluate the performance of existing wastewater and rainwater sanitation works as well as their operating conditions with the plan to define urgent actions to improve the service provided to users.
SERVICES PROVIDED
- Inventory of works and equipment.
- Performance analysis of works and the following programs: upkeep, maintenance and renewal.
- Definition of a plan to upgrade the structures and identification of a multi-year investment program for the upgrade.

Contribute to a global reflection for a sustainable solution to the problem of wastewater (EU) and rainwater (EP) management.
