Opening of the breach which disrupts the marine ecosystem and the normal flow of surface fresh water.
OBJECTIVES OF THE PROJECT
The objective of the study is to seek an intervention plan to control the hydrodynamic, hydrosedimentary conditions and flooding phenomena in the area of the mouth of the Senegal River and to provide useful information to the preparation of the Saint-Louis PDU.
SERVICES PROVIDED
- Proposal for a form of project organization that allows efficient execution, while taking into account various responsibilities.
- Examination of the scope and nature of potential impacts on the environment upstream, with a view to make informed decisions favoring the integration of environmental issues and sustainable development into the project document.
- Identification of constraints and optimization of economic development opportunities in the region taking into account existing social structures and current economic resources.
- Proposal of a communication strategy to ensure the commitment of local stakeholders throughout the project.

The solutions proposed at the level of the breach do not worsen the situation of river flooding in Saint-Louis.
