Registration of an industrial model with OAPI
We are proud to announce that the African Intellectual Property Organization (OAPI) has officially registered, under number 7081, the industrial design entitled “Siphon & Turkish Chair,” filed by EDE International SA on July 4, 2023.
This recognition confirms the conformity and originality of our design in class 23-01, which covers sanitary installations and equipment intended for user hygiene and comfort.
Registration with OAPI grants EDE International exclusive protection for five (5) years, renewable for two additional five-year periods, across all 17 member states. This is a significant milestone that reinforces our commitment to designing innovative, sustainable solutions tailored to the needs of the population.
This achievement demonstrates our commitment to promoting local creativity, encouraging innovation in the engineering sector, and contributing to the improvement of healthcare infrastructure in Africa.
